Product Owners – Delivering Business Outcomes
Delivering value isn’t just about following a set of requirements or a process. It’s about engaging customers, discovering their needs, and sequencing work to optimize outcomes rather than just outputs. Product Owners are central to maximizing the flow of value produced by the product delivery teams. Not just in person, but even when the whole team is online and virtual.
If you’re ready to learn how to deliver value with Scrum in a fun and engaging way via pragmatic techniques you can apply immediately, this course is for you. From deep study of brain science and adult learning, we’ve learned what it takes to be effective in a virtual environment and avoid “Zoom fatigue.”
Learn the Nuts & Bolts of Great Product Ownership
A great PO skillset spans:
- facilitating & negotiating internal and external stakeholder needs
- translating needs into actionable requirements in the product backlog
- supporting product and project development teams throughout their planning, development and release activities
- ensuring teams and stakeholders exercise frequent feedback cycles to guide future plans
- managing expectations and projections from vision all the way through product release
Such skills are hard to learn via lecture alone – so this workshop is hands-on and interactive. This is no Powerpoint snooze fest. Short presentations cover concepts. Immersive team-based exercises are interwoven into each lesson to get you hands-on practice. Delivered in three half-day sessions, with a brief orientation and closing sessions with the instructor.
The workshop includes all the material required by the Scrum Alliance for its Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO® certification, along with stories, tips, tricks, and practices to make your product backlog sing and your user stories tap-dance their way to "done." It lays the foundation for Business Agility using the Scrum framework.

What Do Our Students Say About Our Class?
"A moment of pride for the agilist in me. I recently received my Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) credential from Scrum Alliance. Thanks to Anil Jaising, CST®, Certified TBR-VE and DevOps Trainer for a truly engaging and interactive learning session for the best practices and techniques that make an effective Product Owner and a true agilist."
"Very insightful class. I am relatively new to some of the PO concepts and this class helped clarify things I had questions on. The interactive way it is taught is both fun and a great way to apply course concepts. I feel I gained tremendous knowledge from this course! "

"I had an opportunity to go through a CSPO training with them. It was really good course and the trainer covered all the aspect of a PO’s journey. It gave me confidence of taking another scrum related course and the knowlede I carried was so helpful. The one and only feedback I have is that I struggled to keep track of the way course is going to run and then later I caught up with it. It may be helpful to have short video on to give an intro for students like me. If another course is offered and is relevant to me then I will surely take it with concept and beyond... "
"If you truly want to learn practical skills to become a product owner, this is the class for you. This class goes beyond making students sit through slides they will not remember the next day. This is an active learning experience focused on giving students practical experience through various case studies and activities. Not only is this a more enjoyable way to learn but also a great way to get the context and practical experience needed to grasp the concepts behind your certification."
